Charis is in a unique position concerning the Kheribum/Daemonite War; both sides want her dead. Charis becomes known as Nemesis, the rogue Coda Warrior who has been marked for death by both the Kheribum and the Daemonites accused of betraying both sides. For centuries Nemesis has evaded both groups while trying to prove to the Kheribum that she is innocent. Her chance for redemption finally arrives when she must protect a child who may hold the key to stopping not only the Daemonites, but also a rogue group of Kherans called The Brotherhood of the Blade. Now the Wildcats must reluctantly team up with Nemesis to deal with these two threats.
